About EELI
EELI Technology is building the future of lithium production.

We're a venture-backed startup based at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab developing Advanced Lithium Recovery solutions for the energy transition. Our electrochemical process recovers lithium from ultra-low-grade sources—cheaper, faster, and cleaner. By eliminating chemical reagents and slashing operating costs, we're unlocking untapped domestic lithium to power a sustainable future.

We’re hiring a BS or MS student intern to support the development of next-generation electrochemical systems for lithium recovery.
What you’II do?
-
Assist with lab-scale electrochemical experiments and test rigs.
-
Support electrode, membrane, and flow cell setup and testing.
-
Collect, organize, and analyze electrochemical data (CV, EIS, etc.).
-
Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot and improve hardware.
-
Learn how clean energy technologies are scaled from lab to pilot.
Qualifications
-
Currently pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
-
Interest in electrochemistry, clean energy, or advanced materials.
-
Hands-on lab experience (coursework or projects) and comfort with tools, instrumentation, and data analysis.
-
Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
About The Role
As an intern, you’ll work closely with our founding engineers, assisting with laboratory experiments, test setup, data collection, and troubleshooting. You’ll gain hands-on experience with electrochemical systems, flow cells, and materials testing, while learning how breakthrough technologies are scaled from lab research toward real-world deployment.
